Al Khor International triumph in first inter-school girls cricket tourney


Al Khor International School registered a nine-wicket victory over DPS MIS in the first inter-school girl’s cricket tournament organized by Qatar Cricket Association at the west Bay cricket ground.

Batting first, DPS MIS piled up 84 losing two wickets in their allotted 15 overs.The team’s innings was opened by Lizera and Vaishnavi and both scored 21.Akshadha made 20 and Dividha chipped in with 17.

For Al Khor International School, Fathima and Rishika picked up one wicket each. In reply, Al Khor International School reached the target of 85 losing only one wicket in their allotted over’s.

While Priyanka scored three, Sri Grishma (39) and Rishika Reddy(22) were the other main contributors.
Akshadha got one wicket for DPS MIS.

Sri Grishma was declared player-of-the-match for scoring 39 run.

President M.A.Shahid and general secretary Manzoor Ahmed handed over the QCA.

U-15 Champion’s trophy to Al Khor captain Risheka raddy and the runners-up trophy to DPS MIS School captain Lizera Vaz in the presence of principal of Al Khor School N.K.Sharma.Aruna De Silva,Head  of women’s cricket, women’s coordinator advisor Malik Nazar Muhammad, head of domestic cricket Gul Muhammad Khan Jadoon, coaches Amjad Baig, Hassan Raza, office manager Muhammad Imran and the umpires were also Present.
