DPS-MIS down IIS for triumph in QCA inter-school boys tournament

DPS-Morden Indian School registered a four-wicket victory over Ideal Indian School(IIS) in the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) organized inter-school boys cricket tournament at the West Bay cricket ground.

As many as 10 schools participated in the tournament, Ideal Indian School, DPS-Modern Indian School, the Cambridge School, MES Indian School, Bright Future Pakistani School, Pak Shama School &college, Bangladesh MHM School and College, Dukhan English School and Birla Public School.

 In the final,Ideal Indiqan School batting first were all out for 97 in their allotted 20 overs. Aqib (32) and Shah Jahan (13) were the amin scorers.
For DPS-Morden Indian School, Haffaz, Sushil andDhruv took two wickets each. Christopher took three wickets.

In reply, DPS-Modern Indian School raced to the target of 98 in their allotted overs due to fine contributions from opners Anshuman and Dhruv who made 30 and 28 runs respectively. Dhurv was declared man of the match for his knock of 28 and for his two-wicket effort.

The prize distributions ceremony was held at the Gulf Muhammad Aslam Shahid and general secretary  Manzoor Ahmed presented the QCA Champions trophy to DPS-Modern Indian School captain Amol Sinha and the runner up trophy to Ideal Indian School captain Taha Muhammad.

The third and fourth –placed teams, Pak Shama School and College Bangladesh MHM School & College were also honoured during the ceremony. The management committees of Qatar Cricket Association and school officials were also present. Muhammad Imran, QCA office manager conducted the ceremony.
