Omar Taj to lead Qatar in Malaysia event

OMAR Taj will lead Qatar in the ACC Cup to be held in Malaysia from July 25 to August 3, The Qatar Cricket Association announced yesterday. Anwar Uddin will be the vice - captain.
Ten countries from Asia region are participating in the event. The Qatar squad will leave for Malaysia on Friday.
The participating teams are divided into 2 groups. Group A consists of UAE, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, while Group B comprises Hong Kong, Nepal, Qatar and Kuwait.
The players were selected mainly on the basis of their performance in QCA – organized tournaments.
QCA president M A Shahid gave a pep talk to the team at a meeting and wished them success in the tournament.

The Squad: Omar Taj (Captain), Muhammad Jehangir, Saleem Akhtar, Abbas Khan, Muhammad Asran, Anwar Uddin (Vice- Captain), Tamoor Sajjad, Zaheeruddin Ibrahim, Rusharat Ali, Imtinan Mirza, Faisal nor, Usman Malik, Sardar Badshah, haroon Abbasi.
Manager: Malik Nazar Muhammad.
Coach: Shahasuddin al-Khaddas.
Physio: Shashi Shekhar Patra.
