ACC umpiring course begins
 

The Asian Cricket Council conducted Level 2 umpiring course was inaugurated in Doha on 16th August 2009, by Qatar Cricket Association president M A Shahid.

Issa Ghanem of the Qatar Olympic Committee, QCA general secretary Manzoor Ahmad and the other officials of were present.

Former international umpires Ross Turner of Australia, Mahboob Shah of Pakistan and K T Francis of SriLanka will be training aspiring cricket umpires from Bahrain, Afghanistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Bhutan, the UAE, Iran and Qatar.

The QCA thanked QOC secretary general Sheikh Soud bin Abdulrahman al- Thani for his support to cricket in Qatar.
